Did you order the filament or solidoodle 2 or both?

Wow that was quick. I order Solidoodle 3 on Christmas day and wondering when it will ship it out.

Yeah I feel like more frequent shipping updates could help with the waiting game. Of course actually doing the things mentioned in the shipping updates also helps.

Have you checked the status on the store website? The email that they sent to me about the printer being shipped was in my spam folder.

My printer order from 1st of October was shipped some days ago, so if the status on the store is not shipped on your printer you could perhaps send them an email and ask for the status.

I'm order number 4698 for a SD2 + filament.  Date Added: 27/09/2012.  Shipped on the 8th of Jan, apparently.  Add 6-10 days for international shipping (to Melbourne, Australia) and that could make it Monday ... I'm off interstate on Tuesday for 10 days.  :S  This is going to take the shine off my holidays.  I'm going to be busting it to get back home and open the box!

It's going to take me a month of printing to get through the backlog of things I've been excitedly modelling in anticipation ... and it always ends the same way.  If only ...

Currently, it's taken 15 weeks and three days ... but who's counting?

sat man when did you place your order? I was told they should start shippign the 3s in a week or 2

you nearly gave me a freaking heart attack. i've been waiting on myprinter since august then upgraded the 1st dayit was available to the s3 so if you had ordered the same tiem fram i was gonna have to go up to ny and pry mine out of their cold dead hands

Just spoke with solidoodle today to check on shipping dates since i admit i was a tad concerned. They stated they will be starting shipping s3 within the next 2 weeks.

So, just as heads up:

We know you guys keep good track of which orders have shipped. You may see a small discrepancy since there was a small shortage of covers for the S2:Expert models last week. Long story short, we got way ahead of schedule on SD:Pros and behind on SD:Experts. This may show up as a blip on compiled time lines.

I would hope that they don't want to start shipping S3s until they have solved the banding problem that has plagued the later S2s.  If that is the case, then you should be grateful they haven't started shipping yet.

There have been several threads around, especially at the google groups.  It has been attributed a lot to wobbly Z rods, but it seems to come down to some rods having problems with the threads, causing inconsistencies in the length of moves when changing layers.  Hopefully they are either changing suppliers or working out a way to detect the bad rods before installing them.  We don't know for sure, that is the kind of thing any company would keep to themselves.

Widespread but mainly regarding .1mm prints
