GOOD GOD... 20 weeks? my billing was Dec 31th, so...wtf..
Where are you seeing 20 weeks? I ordered mine yesterday.
Yahoo, status changed to 'Shipped' three days ago!!
Oddly, the tracking number still says "Ready for UPS".(Throw another sugar cube for the ant army carrying the box to the truck?)
What was the order number and order date? Mine must be getting close now :-)
It hasn't been 20 weeks for a long time see http://www.soliwiki.com/Printers_Shipping for shipping trends. It's currently down to around 12 weeks waited for the people who are getting their printers shipped now. It will probably be less than that for the people just placing their orders.

That places at about 16 weeks.
Seems others have ordered after me and already gotten theirs a week or so ago.
I'm guessing there was a problem on mine that deserved some extra QA.
If so, hopefully that's a good thing and it's been triple checked to be awesome.
EDIT: (or if it's because I ordered deluxe and they were waiting on the case or something)
4409 got held up because I had a spool ordered with it. Had to contact support to ask why it hadn't shipped and tell them to ship printer separately. Got USPS shipping notification on 31/12/12 but status still shows them as not having received the parcel.

I wonder if the reduction in delivery time has been driven by people like me who have upgraded to the S3, thereby freeing up S2 printers for others.
Wahoo! UPS updated magically- should arrive tomorrow afternoon- its gonna be a great weekend!

There were fewer orders in the months being shipped now, so I think it would naturally decrease regardless of people changing to S3. So probably both :-)

Hurtz don't it... I had to do the same thing in early December... had one in my hands, fondled the box, and sent it back home. 
Now awaiting my SD3 hopefully to arrive in a week or two. Order #5840
I split the table in the wiki into an S2 and an S3 section to make it easier for people to estimate the shipping for the printer they are interested in. Any strong objections? I can revert it.

Order number 4631, containing filament. Placed on the 23rd of September, shipped on the 3rd of January. I hope it goes to Finland.

I wouldn't expect to start seeing SD3's until mid Feb.
The Last word that I got from them was that I could expect to receive my sd3 within the first two weeks in Jan. Since it has not yet been shipped, I believe this is equivelent to the delivery expectation of 6 to 8 weeks I was told mid July for my original sd2 order.

Got this in an email back in mid-December as a shipping update:
"November Orders
November orders should begin on January 19th. We anticipate November orders to take 2 weeks to clear, finishing in full by February 4th. This of course excludes Solidoodle 3 orders, which should begin shipping earlier in the month. November orders involve order IDs 5473 through 6196"

Just ordered my Solidoodle 2 this Sunday 01/06/2013, order number 7329.
If they can clear the November orders in 2 weeks, I guess more 2-3 weeks for December, so I can expect my order to ship by early March, right? Or I can least dream 
Honestly, I don't give a damn...I just want my printer shipped within the time frame given. Otherwise, don't give a false time frame. I'm a realist...I don't give a crap whether or not issues ensue, I just want my printer delivered...IN GOOD SHAPE...and in the time frame they sent me. I REALLY dislike any company that doesn't live up to their promises. I would rather have a longer time line than have a false hope. Kev
I'm a business entrepreneur that has made over a million $ on delivered promises. That's the KEY to great business IMO. I consider myself a qualified business judge as I have had 4 businesses that were seriously successful within the last 12 years. Do the job, and people will give loyalty...it's NOT 200+ I.Q. mentality, it's simply excellent business sense. Hopefully this company will apply good ethics to their dream of big business. I'm REALLY rooting for them!!! Kev
Considering time frame of shipping now compared to what it was, there's really no reason to give much grief. Honestly its probably only a matter of a few more months and their 8-10 shipping quote will be longer than the wait. Dont worry, its worth your wait.
