Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Normally I would delete all the spam, but that would wash away the misdeeds of this supplier, so I'll leave this one as a shining example for future customers.  I'm tempted to write a short guide to creating a convincing sock puppet to promote your business since it's always done so poorly.

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Yeah, I think most spammers just don't put in the extra effort spam properly, it's kinda sad that the spamming industry has been overtaken by point and click spammers there's just no imagination anymore.

Unfortunately it hasn't worked out. Been over a month since I ordered, and I am no longer receiving any response to messages and the website has gone.

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Well, here's what I know:

Looks like Darren/my3dmedia hasn't logged into the forums since mid-January.
I've sent him an email about a week ago when his site wend down as someone contacted me looking to place an order through him, but couldn't. No reply to the email, and I only have his email address for contact.

redback - I'm sending you a PM now to see what you ordered and if there's anything I can do to remedy the situation. If you paid via credit card/PayPal, I'd recommend a claim/chargeback at this point as I haven't heard from him.

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Hi everyone, haven't posted in a while but I would like to announce a few new products and a new website.

We are now carrying ColorFabb woodfill material, which comes on a reel! YAY! It is also more economical than the equivalent amount of laywood. Colour is quite a bit lighter and won't fluctuate with temperature like laywood, but it is less brittle and most importantly gives off that satisfying wood smell when printed.
http://3dprintergear.com.au/search?cont … y=woodfill

Also in the ColorFabb range is XT. Not sure really what this material is ( its a secret), but it is very clear and impressively strong.

In the Taulman range there is now coloured T-glase and a new nylon "bridge". This nylon is a close cousin to 645 but will print direct to glass that has PVA glue applied. It also warps less than other nylons, and best of all is significantly cheaper.
http://3dprintergear.com.au/taulman3d-n … s-1lb.html

For the patriotic, we now stock Aussie made ABS and PLA. Limited colours right now, but they will expand in the future.

http://3dprintergear.com.au/37-australian-pla

And lastly, for the adventurous, we will soon have Recreus Filaflex in lots of pretty colours! This material is super soft and flexible and is very similar to Ninjaflex. Comes on 250g rolls so you don't have to pay a fortune for a kilo of material that lasts you 6 months. Due late next week.

We would also welcome any feedback on the new site. Hopefully it is an improvement on the old one, and you find it clean and easy to navigate. Send your feedback to [email protected] and receive an extra 5% off.

Don't forget the SF5% voucher is still active too.

(discounts valid on all products other than printers)

Thanks for reading!

Cheers
Jamie

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know we now have the new ColorFabb Bronzefill filament in stock. Very limited quantities though. Really amazing stuff. Here is a bunny I printed at 80 micron then polished with steel wool and Brasso.

Another new product is PolyMakr PolyMax, a PLA that is stronger than ABS and less brittle than normal PLA. I've also had reports back that support is really easy to remove. PolyFlex will be available next week too.

Thanks for looking!

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Just a shout out to Jamie @ 3DPrinterGear (again... ) - he was processing my order this morning and called me to confirm a potential 'mistake' on my order - but was a deliberate act on my behalf (Ordered 3mm when I normally do 1.75mm) but it was good of Jamie to call and confirm this morning so my order could still ship out today and big props for him taking the time to sanity check the order and not just take the cash and ship it regardless.

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Thanks Adrian! Better to be safe than sorry. Hope you enjoy the filaments.

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Just a quick heads up. The Polymakr Polymax is now available in black as well.
