Topic: Anyone else have this prob?

I finally got through the little things like extruder clogging, not sticking, etc., and now have a problem that makes no sense to me.

After printing for about 3 hrs filament stops extruding.  Spool is on a makeshift holder with little tension or resistance.  Tensioner is set adequately, (printed well for 3 hrs +-).  Getting good layers and table adhesion.

Anyone have any ideas??

What temp is your extruder set at?
Sounds to me like some type of clogging or stripped filament.

Re: Anyone else have this prob?

So when you say "stops extruding" are you saying the extruder motor stops turning or just that filament stops coming out of the hot end?

Re: Anyone else have this prob?

Motor still working. filament just stops.  It is always about 3 hrs which is what has me stumped.

You know that "clogging issue" you think you've worked through....
I am beginning to feel like a broken record.   Buy an E3D from filastruder you'll have it in a couple of days and your problems will end with that.
Otherwise pull the Stock one apart again and re-tighten the barrel to the peek.  (after you clean everything)

Re: Anyone else have this prob?

I think I lost that a while back with this machine.

Re: Anyone else have this prob?

I know the minute I switched to the E3D 90% of my problems went away.  The other 10% were operator induced.
