I have been trying to slowly accumulate the parts for a 3D printer when the good deals are available. My wife just sees that I don't have a 3D printer yet, so does not support me buying a filament extruder ahead of the printer. I still have a month to have her change her mind (if the supply holds out of course) ;-)
You are accumulating a lot of comments and some questions on the KS comments section. You might want to make your appearance there and answer questions, or start your FAQ updates before you get too far behind.

I will. 
We have already drafted an update, and I just finished talking to the guys at OS Printing. One thing I really want to do in this project is have communication clear and not fragmented. Since we are partnering, sometimes we need to talk things over a bit before just responding off the cuff. I'd rather wait a few hours and have a more fully thought out set of responses, than respond quickly and it not be the right way forward.

I want to back so bad, but have a quick question. Where in the world is everyone getting their ABS pellets? I couldn't find a consistent price, it seemed like it varried between websites.
Pretty much my question being, what's a good website to buy pellets from? I wanna do a cost analysis and see how many KGs of filament I would need to extrude in order to recoup the cost of the machine.

There's a number of places. We're recommending osprintingllc.com, but I've bought from eBay in the past also:

You can get under $5/kg. Assuming you get filament shipped for $40/kg, the fialstruder pays for itself after 6kg or so.
