Well, that is your problem then. You need to refill not generate. I am really sorry I cannot be of any help as I do not have a NFC capable pone.

Okay, that's a sort of clarification, I'll try other tags then. Are ISO14443A compatible or not?

As long as they are specified as NFC213 they should work. NFC213 are the only tags that will work. ISO14443A does not seem to be the same as an NFC213 as far as I can see.

Alright then, thanks. It seems to be a possible cause. I bought the tags online, the seller said "NFC213 (ISO14443A)" so it implies there's no difference but maybe there is.

I've got a da Vinci Jr. 1.0 wifi.
Does this new tags work with latest firmware? Can I update firmware safely or should I stay with version 2.2.7?

If you have a way of updating the tags and have the correct tags, then it will work for you.

I have paper tags and modfreakz mobile app. It works like a charm.
Actually I would like use new PETG filaments. Do I need to update firmware?
AFAIK it needs 230 degrees or more and current firmware only goes up to 210 degrees.

Hello everyone, I made the mistake of updating the firmware of my Davinci mini wa printer version 1.2.6, now I do not recognize the labels generated with NFC Refill tool 1.1, I installed version 1.20 but on my mobile (Samsung j5) The generate label buttons do not appear.
Can you help me to make a downgrade ?.

Looks like with new firmware v1.2.6, 300m are not possible to use anymore. Try to set length to 200m/200m.
Btw. if more people are interested, i have found a way to downgrade the mini/miniMaker to any firmware. also possible with Junior/Nano/....

I have used these with the ReelTool app from the first post with success.
Mini W, Firmware version 1.2.6, 200m.
Is the the other app, NTAG_Refill_Tool_v1.20.apk supposed to change the UID and/or serial number of a tag (or sticker) ?
I tried to create a new tag from the original XYZ empty one, checked the change UID and serial number boxes but no joy. The XYZware reports a full spool, but when going to print, it displays the error about using the correct filament and crashes the software.
EDIT: just updated to Firmware 1.2.7 and it still works ok.

Thanks!!! one more thing i noticed is that even when i changed the last digit to 1 on page 9 but used 300m my printer still didnt recognize the tag untill i used 200m settings it worked! so i suggest to avoid using the 300m settings maybe the update recognize it as not genuine.

Thanks!!! Also I used 200m instead of 300m because it rejected them as well so changing last digit to 1 and using 200m would be the best i suggest.
I believe I said add 1 to the last digit.

Just for info; the experimental settings allow you at the moment to change sector/page 0x0C, original value on all tags [D2002D00]
I assume this sector/page was planned to be used for the extruder temperature and the bed temperature.
Changing this values have no effect to print result on my daVinci MiniW.

your app works great, but one of 4 tested fresh chips say signature invalid. This chip does not work. Any idea why? Its a fresh clean one like the others.

Maybe you need to keep longer under the nfc antenna?!?!
Do other blank Tags have valid signature?
Could you use this android app and read out the Tag data and post here. (only from this invalid tag)

Great Forum -I think I have been able to follow everything, let me get 1 more clarification.
The original spool I received with my mini w+, i have been re-wrapping other filaments on that same spool. I got about 40 more meters left of filament according to the XYZware software info.
When i get ready to use the NTAG213 paper labels with the SAME spool, do I have to remove the original hard chip/tag from the spool or does the original hard chip stay in the spool along with the new paper tag?

The Da Vinci mini w + was a good printer and with
these apps it is a great printer.
