Re: Orders Shipping List

Any news on the workbench shipping dates? My order number is 34160 and I haven't heard anything.

Re: Orders Shipping List

I was told yesterday that they are waiting on parts that are supposed to be here this week.  They apparently don't use parcel tracking at solidoodle.  I'm 34248, and they said it would be soon.  That really doesn't mean anything though.  It could be weeks.  I'm sure nobody from solidoodle is going to weigh in on this.  They're probably tired of the beatings by now.

Of course I know what I'm doing.  I googled it.

Re: Orders Shipping List

if they just did an update every couple of days I would be more forgiving

Re: Orders Shipping List

I might too.  My issue was with the blog post with the estimated shipping dates.  It was pretty messed up to post something likr that knowing they weren't possibly going to hit it.  By those dates, my printer should have shipped two weeks ago.  Now I have to put lipstick on my prusa to get it ready for a show.

Of course I know what I'm doing.  I googled it.

Re: Orders Shipping List

Finally received a shipping email and tracking number.

Order ID: 34160
Date Ordered: 02/12/2015
Date Shpped: 04/22/2015

I'll post here when I actually get it.

Strangely the email said I ordered it on 12/02/2015. Took me a minute to realize they switched the month and day around from what I'm used to ;)

Re: Orders Shipping List

34248 here.  It shows out for delivery.  Lets see what it looks like when it gets here.  There will likely be solidoodle dna in it after I gave them such a hard time.

Of course I know what I'm doing.  I googled it.

Re: Orders Shipping List

Got it on 4/27/2015 and everything was in the box I expected except something to hold the glass to the platform.
Had a problem with the y axis binding up. Loosened everything and move the carriage around a bunch and everything seems to be good. Well everything is good after I completely detached the bracket that was between the motor gear and the platform. I think it was putting pressure on the shaft that the y axis motor attaches to.

Ran the z-offset program and after being confused by what it was doing finally read some instructions.

Works pretty good so far. I've only printed a cube but it's a nice cube wink

I had the same issue. That rear trim panel was creating some kind of pressure on the shaft and the back of the platform was catching on the plastic clips that keep the rear case fan in place. Just removing that panel fixed it.

Re: Orders Shipping List

Realistically, how many months am I looking at between ordering a SD4 and actually receiving one?

Re: Orders Shipping List

I ordered my SD4 March 16th and recieved a confirmed shipment on June 23rd, if all goes well with FedEx it should arrive this coming Monday.  14 weeks to the day + 1 week shipping.  Yay

That must be a typo, you are saying you ordered a printer (insert model) from SD close to two years ago and haven't gotten it yet?

Printit Industries Model 8.10 fully enclosed CoreXY, Chamber heat
3-SD3's & a Workbench all fully enclosed, RH-Slic3r Win7pro, E3D V6, Volcano & Cyclops Hot End
SSR/500W AC Heated Glass Bed, Linear bearings on SS rods. Direct Drive Y-axis, BulldogXL
Thanks to all for your contributions

Re: Orders Shipping List

That can't be right. If everyone else is getting their printers (albeit a month or so late) then this has got to be a typo or someone who is confused on how to call support and kvetch.

I'm aware the solidoodle guys have issues, but that's absurd.

Re: Orders Shipping List

Just received shipping notice from Solidoodle. I purchased a Solidoodle 4 on March 1. Order number 34455.
Tracking on FedEx shows it will be delivered on Thursday.

Re: Orders Shipping List

I ordered an SD4 on March 20th 2015, it is now July 20th, 4 months later, still no printer or any valid update letting me know when it will be shipped.  4 months to fulfil an order after taking your money in the first week is unacceptable.

Re: Orders Shipping List

ordered  (order#35294) a workbench on May 12th, still waiting...  I've been emailing them every week since I broke the 8 week mark.  They are currently saying 3-4 more weeks.  They really need to change their site to reflect longer lead times.  My patience is wearing very thin at this point...

Re: Orders Shipping List

I ordered mine in may as well.

4 months is completely unacceptable. By the time they ship the printers, other printers will be available much cheaper, negating the savings of buying their discounted printer.

I have been told I'd get a complimentary roll of filament (woohoo, they're $25 on amazon) but if I don't receive my printer soon I'm going to be doing a chargeback and reporting them to the BBB.

Edit: Screw it, I'm going to cancel my order. I've been waiting MONTHS for this thing, and for a couple hundred dollars more I can get a Flashforge Creator Pro and print in two colors and have the thing shipped in two days from Amazon.

Sorry Solidoodle, you had your chance.

Wasim I'm now at 3 days from the 6 month mark since I ordered my SD4.  I keep getting told "we're waiting for a shipment of parts to arrive and we'll start assembling in a week or so" every time I contact them.  They gave me the same "we'll give you a free roll of filament and a voucher" or some kind of crap like that.

Unfortunately they're not registered with the BBB but they do have complaints against them.  The BBB even has contact information for them that is not shown on the Solidoodle website:

Phone: (347) 457-6608
631 Hicks St, Brooklyn, NY 11231
http://www.solidoodle.com

I have requested a full refund as well, but prior to that I even gave them the option of me paying the difference for the workbench model (maybe at a discount considering how long I've been waiting) but they shut me down on that immediately.

If the printer were to show up today on my doorstep I'd send it back without opening it.  It would take some serious customer satisfaction on their part for me to ever consider purchasing from them again.

It really is a shame because the people I know who own Solidoodle products have only good things to say about them, but right now I have nothing but disgust towards them.

I hope someone from Solidoodle is paying attention to these posts and takes these complaints back to their management so they can save future customers rather than losing them.

I am in same boat, not as long a wait time, I have been waiting 3 months with multiple delays all 2 or 3 weeks in length. They are no longer responding online and I even purchased the solicare!!!! They are blatantly lying regarding the 6-8 week timing because if they stated 6-20 weeks for the printer no one would buy from them. This is my second Solidoodle purchase, I was more understanding 2 years ago but come on, this is unacceptable at this point for a company to have multiple versions out with upgrades.

Most respectable companies will only take a portion of your money upfront and rest at delivery of goods, where solidoodle takes 100% all money upfront and strings you along. IF I HAD NOT PURCHASED A MACHINE IN PAST I WOULD CLASSIFY THIS AS A SCAM!

I feel like I have been very patient and I am sure it is a good machine but Solidoodle will probably lose # of customers just based on their lying regarding getting machines out, why do you think they stopped posting the actual shipping #s or actual time to ship? Below I have some good links to vent, maybe some day they will get their act together.

Re: Orders Shipping List

I canceled my order and was told I would see a refund on my card in about two weeks.

Over a month later still no refund. I am now discussing chargebacks with my credit card company but am having trouble with that because the purchase was so long ago.

They effectively made it hard for me to even dispute the claim by stringing me along for so many months.

Solidoodle is a scam. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!
