Topic: I did it, bowden extruder

I got my Bowden  extruder working finally. The only drawback I see so far is that it isn't as easy to change  filament colors. Now  I need to make another one so that I will be ready when I decide to get the Cyclops.

Re: I did it, bowden extruder

I just installed my bowden e3d v6 extruder as well and did some test prints.  My prints came out fine but I did forget to check if reverse extrusion is possible with the little black circular piece in place.

Are you able to reverse extrude the material out?

Re: I did it, bowden extruder

yep , no problem, that ring just prevents the tube from coming out.

+1  I approve this mod!  Id love to see pictures myself!   I haven't tried speeding mine up any, but even at the same rate corners are more consistent.

Re: I did it, bowden extruder

update: I don't know why but prints come out  stringy with the bowden setup. It should work just like the direct drive as all  I did was mount the direct drive assembly remotely and added the bowden tube.(I left the lower half in place with the with the E3D )Z lift and retraction  are set to one.
