First Calibrate your extruder. Search and you'll find threads here and procedures on the Solidoodle Wiki for....
1) Calibration of your filament diameter (micrometer measurement is needed, but a nominal guess might work)
2) Calibration of your extruder feed rate (length measure needed of actual vs. expected)
3) Calibration of your filament flow rate (single wall thickness micrometer needed)
If there's still a need, then tuning might be in order on extruder temperature.
There are discussion threads around this as well, but generally don't go much above 200C or below 180C.
When you think you have it about right, readdress your flow rate calibration.
If all that doesn't get you working or you can't get past a given step, you may need to address something more complex, but you'll be chasing your tail if you don't do the above first, in that order.
