Topic: Question about print quality

Hey everyone,

I have read and done a bunch of recommendations in regards to cleaning the print bed, leveling, etc. I still have some issues getting the first layer to stick. To be honest it is hit or miss. Sometimes it is flawless, sometimes not so much. Im not sure if it is common but every print is different.

I did this cube a few minutes ago and it started fine but at the top it bunched up. What causes this?

Heat.

Lower layers take more time, so plenty of time to cool.

Re: Question about print quality

The easiest way to fix that is to print something else at the same time to give the small areas time to cool.  It could just be a column that you will throw away if you don't have something else you want to print, that is tall enough.

Thanks guys. It was set at 195c but that is a great suggestion about printing multiple things so it cools.
