I ordered through PayPal as I couldn't get my card to work on the website. I asked last week and they told me it was being shipped that week. I like some surprises.

guys, does anyone from the UK know how long it took from shipping the printer to taking actual delivery? I ordered 08/08/12 and it shipped 29/11/12, USPS says it was notified about an international delivery, but the message has been the same for nearly a week now? is this normal?

yes, that's normal.
Mine was shipped on the 16th.
Took ages to get to the UK and I think I had it on the 3th November. (customs letter came through the door and I went to the distribution centre on the same day)
VAT and postal charges for pre-payment of the owed sales tax by the post office came to just shy of a ton.

You don't have long to wait. We're dealing with orders 3506 and up today. It is entirely likely that your order would ship by the end of the week. If your order shipped today, then it should be less than a week before you get it.
If you used USPS for shipping, don't expect accurate shipping information - they have been horrid lately.

Finally another person from the Burgh. Shouldn't take long at all as most of the stuff took one day to get to my house. Do you know of anyone else with a Solidoodle from here yet?

I don't know anyone else in the area with one unfortunately. my tracking shows friday delivery but I haven't gotten my filament order yet from octave

SD2 Has landed in the UK this morning, tracking status is now "Customs Clearance" how long did you guys wait for it to go through customs... hearing a few stories from a day to a couple of weeks!!

Anybody know what #s the SD Team is working on getting out this week? I noticed someone with a 39-- number said theirs shipped on the 11th. Hopefully they are onto the 4000s now. Of course, I've got another 1800+ orders ahead of me at the 4000 mark, some of which, I imagine are placer numbers for failed, etc. orders and not actual units. Looks like they're churning them out though. Good work!
