.. Just be sure to clean it completely of all the existing grease if not usingnyhe same as factory. Cross-contamination can cause the new grease to harden up and contribute to seizing etc.

So clean up the rods well and make sure to get as much deposits out from the bushes as possble - thin paper curled around the rods and then the carriage and bed slid over it can mostly assist here if not disassembling the carriages..

Oh and don't over grease them.. A thin coat is more than enough and excess attracts dust and other contaminants.

tried the lithium grease. It seams to want to just evaporate and disapear. What do they actually use in the factory

Makerbot uses Super Lube synthetic grease.
$10 plus shipping. from Makerbot
I bought a large tube of it from an auto parts store.

3rd on the lithium gonna check out the synthetic though.

Overkill is underrated!!!
