Topic: Daily post infill----nofill

My horizontal shells are set at 3 for top and bottom but no matter what I tinker or adjust i kee getting open objects. They print fine except for damn top infill...sorry to post stuff everyday but I have messed w settings tossed more pieces messed with settings....repeat for past few days.

What version of Slic3r are you using?

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

Very odd. What layer height and infill % are you using?. In that version of slic3r ( at least for me)  when I use the dropdown for % of infill it does not choose that, I have to enter that myself. When you scroll thru the Gcode do you see  the % infill that you choose?

0.1-40% infill, 100% top layer infill

Slice with Cura or Skeinforge no problem...guess ill use those or try an older version of Slic3r...I like Slic3r's interface but if I need to ise others to get results so be it

The settings I sent you work fine so you're missing something tongue export your slic3r settings snd post them.

Also you're going to want to print your printer parts at 100% infill, especially carriages. Even att 100% infill I managed to crack a carriage already.

Patience   
first of all make sure the profile you are changing is the same one the printer  is using  apparently not an uncommon error DAMHIKT.
It takes time to learn all the setting an what settings work best.
Take it step by step. Make sure the extruder is calibrated. then the x,y,z.
Looks like lots of gap in your prints.
Remember speed and  feed will interact. sometimes it is a combo of increasing flow rate and lowering speed to fill things in.
I tend to over extrude some either  manually or in the advanced area.

use export config rather than export config bundle. Need to see the settings for those particular prints, not your entire config. Won't be able to look at them until this evening so maybe someone will beat me to it.

If I use Slic3r directly (not through RH) it works and uses all settings and I can import gcode with infill and all...only problem is I cant move object (atleast I dont know how to)

Oh here's your problem. Top layer infill extrusion width 100%. Use .48. That doesn't do what you think it does!! By saying 100%, you set the infill extrusion width to .3, which clearly the stock hotend doesn't like! It's % of layer height, not "how solid is it"

See above, but also, that extrusion multiplier is way too high. It should be less than 1. Calibrate your wall thickness again and check steps per mm. It will be different for everyone but it will likely be between .9 and .99

If I use settings through RH i get following error...but same settings run theough Slic3r code imported I get following image w full infill...but than problem of I cant place object where I want on plate

Use a rectilinear fill pattern for everything. Its much faster and it will create a closed surface.

I am seeing in that Gcode, one place it says pla and another abs. Also I see 3 different  filament diameters and extrusion multipliers.

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

I have multiple settings for diff thing, extruder and bed temps are diff in filament profiles, the one can prob be deleted but the ABS and PLA are setup diff obv. the 3rd is prob stock setting I never got rid of. But still no go when sliced through RH right hand side is uploaded gcode but as I said before I cant place thing where I want and peints still come out like before. Both pics below are sliced w same settings just one is through slic3r directly

And you want to dial in .3 layers before you move to .1

I got .48 from jago, ill swap it back. My thing is why the hell does slicer in RH not work but by itself it does...what bersion do you have os Slic3r?
