Anybody tried this stuff?

How can we turn the extruder up to the 240-250 needed?

Re: Taulman 618

The extruder usually runs at least 30 degrees hotter then the setting you make in the control software.

I believe a few people on this forum are trying the taulman nylon.... aFoote I think is one of them????

Re: Taulman 618

Yeah I ordered mine, I'm waiting on it to come though.

From what I can tell like ronsii said, our extruder when heated to 195 is equal to a higher temperature, so I'll give it a go heated at around 200 when I get it, and go from there.

I'll make sure to document and show pictures to everyone here when it comes in though!

Re: Taulman 618

Worked really great, oozed a bit more than I'd like it to.  The material was great though, but I didn't have a use for it on normal prints.  I printed at about 205, with a fan on constantly.  Printing at this temperature allowed the layers to adhere better to each other.

Theres a good extensive thread on both the Taulman 618 and a tiny bit on the new clear 645.
