Topic: Calibrate flow rate

How do I get my flow rate right? I have very accurate calipers just need to know what to do.

Re: Calibrate flow rate

Print a cube with 0 fill and 1 perimeter, stop before it gets to the top.  The wall thickness should match the extrusion width.   If it doesn't, change the extrusion multiplier.   If the wall needs to be 10% thinner,  reduce the extrusion multiplier 10%.

well. Used my dial calipers and found out the filament is extruding at .43 mm thick. then I printed a cbe with 25 mm wall thickness.

well. Used my dial calipers and found out the filament is extruding at .43 mm thick. then I printed a cbe with 2.5 mm wall thickness. piece came out at 2.94 wall thickness. Also see how the layers seprate sometimes. How do i prevent that?

It's much easier and accurate to download this: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:271736

Then measure the wall, it should(as said) be the same as your extrusion multiplier.
