Topic: E3d upgrade help

Have sd2, installed e3d extruder ,thermistor and new power supply. I tried to download all new firmware and haven't been able to get past first base. Seems like I'm going backwards.  I would be willing to ship printer, laptop to someone to get it up and running. I know how to use repieter and all that but can't get the programming needed on this upgrade   Quote me the cost

It was a pain in the butt for me too. Make sure you have the right version of arduino and
when you import the marlin file there was a thing or 2 that had to be changed. Once I got that down I was ok.

What board do you have?  Once we know that we can point you to the step by step instructions.
If after that, if you still can't figure it out I'll do it but you'll have to remove the board and ship it to me.

Printit Industries Model 8.10 fully enclosed CoreXY, Chamber heat
3-SD3's & a Workbench all fully enclosed, RH-Slic3r Win7pro, E3D V6, Volcano & Cyclops Hot End

Thanks to all for your contributions

Re: E3d upgrade help

Does your board say Sanguinololu Rev 1.3 on it?
What version of arduino are you using?
Are you using the instructions from the WIKI?
What step are you stuck at?

Re: E3d upgrade help

Soliwiki instructions
Couldn't fi which San board
Arduino 0022.  But could not get it to work
I guess every thing having to do with firmware printer update process

After installing new hot end I downloaded repitier update since I had never updated since I got printer originally.  I was able to move print head x and y. But after that  I cannot even do that

New power supply does work as I have power to fan. Should I delete all downloads and repitier   And start all over from scratch. Seem like there's so much stuff in download folder.

No need to delete anything. RH would have zero accountability for your experiences.
The best place to start is by identifying which board you have.

Re: E3d upgrade help

In wiki instructions it say that soliddoodle always put their own label over processor number, so I peeled it off to get number underneath. Underneath is # ATMega 664P   I got sd2 1/1/13
I just looked to see if I still have label and could not find.
