Topic: still having problems with printer just stopping mid print
this time I at least got to the second layer. gotta be my gcode or slicer problems.

incase anyone wants to see my slicer settings ill post screen shots. im using the baud rate of 250,000. Should i go to Kissslicer? Ive even fixed the file in netfabb and still wont work.

In that first shot, why is there no object shown if you are previewing your G-code?

After the failure, can you then home the printer without resetting it? If not, it is very possibly a shoddy power supply. I had similar issues where turning on my bed heater would cause any movement command to "lock up" the printer. In fact, it was drawwing enough power to lower the voltage of the PSU below the brownout level of the controller board's chip. So the device would "reset" because I would start power-intensive applications. If you're getting this randomly, you could have a closer to borderline PSU.

Yup it will go home if I pause it. Any way my gcode settings and baud rate are messed up. Baud rate is at 250,000 I'm using a 64 bit system windows 7

I'm on Win7 x64 also and my baud is 250,000. I don't see any issues with the Slic3r settings you've posted, but I'll also say that you can download the latest version of Slic3r and run it standalone, then export the gcode and load it into Repetier. The latest Slic3r has some cool new features depending on your print.

I've got it on .3mm 6x6 is that wrong maybe? I messed with the settings on slic3r now it won't print period. Is there a button to reset slic3r

Is that (.3) layer height or filament diameter?

Have you looked at your temp chart as the failure occurs?
Are you getting any errors in the log output?
Have you considered that maybe (as previously mentioned) That this could be a power issue? Maybe you answered that and I missed it.

The long won't pull up. Pretty sure it isn't the power but I'll check. Bc the machine stays humming and will go back home

I have had this problem also. I checked my temperature before the stop and sometimes the error was overtemp and sometimes cold extrusion prevented. i redid the PID process and the problem would go away for a while. Finally my power supply died and I replaced it with a 30 amp unit. Everything worked good for a while and then it started happening again. I have replaced the motherboard and again everything ran good for a while. Now the wire for the extrusion heater broke and I have ordered a new extruder assembly. Hopefully it will run good again. I have spent as much as I paid for the SD3 on replacement parts ,(uhgg)

I have noticed the temp jumping to like 215 but I checked the power supply it's ok. just changed to different outlet and it ran a file off but the heat still wants to jump up. so i just kept manually putting it at 195. whats the deal with that

There may be something else going on, but this is an easy thing to check in going through the process of elimination.
If you're printing from a USB connection, double check the connection and the cable. All it takes is a momentary wobble while printing to interrupt the print if you have a loose connection. That might explain why everything looks okay after it stalls out.
IMO, a SD card reader should be standard on all printers, but unfortunately, a lot of the fly by night outfits manufacturing printers in their mother's basements are too cheap to install them. If you're able to print from a SD card, that would be an easy way to check if your USB connection is bad. If you can print from the card, but not from the cable, that would suggest the problem is with the cable.

That is in the settings of Slic3r 
And can also be further controlled in your custom start code Ignore the highlights these are old screenshots
So you may want to check those and see what they are set at.
