Topic: i don't know what happened!!

I was out of town for 45 minutes while my print was finishing. During this time a storm blew into town and has obvious knocked out the power to my house. My SD2 is protected by an awesome surge protector! When i attempt to click to move the Z axis up or down it does not move.
However, when i click the home button for the Z axis it moves down some and up some until it parks. I then try clicking again to move the Z axis down and it doesn't move. It seems only clicking the Z axis home button is moving it!

Any suggestions would be awesome!!

Thank you smile

Click "Disconnect" then reconnect in RH. I have this problem constantly. For me, it's no big deal, but I hope this helps.

Re: i don't know what happened!!

By clicking to move it down, you are actually clicking the up arrow, right?  Keep in mind solidoodle's are reversed.  Disconnect, reconnect, home Z then try it again.  Might take a couple tries because if the printer somehow "forgets" where the Z axis is at in relation to home, it won't move it.

Does everything else work?

Re: i don't know what happened!!

i have tried clicking both direction just to make sure! I will try unplugging the Z axis and plugging it back in. I will reply back here in a few minutes!

Yep everything else works.. i can move the extruder Left, right, forward, and backwards. its just the build platform that doesnt want to move unless i click the Home button.
