Topic: Solidoodle Y-Axis shifting during printing

Hi,
I have an issue with the y-axis shifting during the print - I tried the adjustments suggested by customer care (with partial success). Wondered if anyone else had successfully found a way of fixing this? Thanks in advance. Al

Re: Solidoodle Y-Axis shifting during printing

There are a lot of posts about axis skipping so have a search.
Cool the electronics and the motor if it's getting hot.
Adjust the VREF's
Most important calibrate and lubricate... Most times something is misaligned or binding.

Looks like it is skipping towards the back of the printer so the first thing I would check is that the filament spool is not binding as this is a main cause of prints shifting towards the back of the printer... but like ward says calibrate and lubricate smile

I agree with the other posters as well as checking the belt tightness. They should not be to tight or to loose. I saw the same issue with mine. If you are not careful, the one side of the belts can be loose while the other seems too tight (same belt, other pulley).
