Topic: Y/X Axis Error

Well I just got my printer in the mail, but when I turn it on, I get the buzzing sound and the lights flashing, but now I get a new error that says "Service Call 0031" which is for the Y axis motor that is working fine, every time I start it up it moves just fine, then spits out that error. If I unplug the Y axis motor, it will almost get to the home screen, then it throws up "Service Call 0030" which is for the X axis motor which is also working just fine as I have seen it move. So I am not sure what is wrong, I highly doubt bother motors have issues.

That's usually when an error code displays on the screen. Does the screen light up at all?

Re: Y/X Axis Error

Ok, that got the screen working but now I have a new problem. When I start it up, I still get the buzzing and the lights flashing, but now I get a new error that says "Service Call 0031" which is for the Y axis motor that is working fine, every time I start it up it moves just fine, then spits out that error. If I unplug the Y axis motor, it will almost get to the home screen, then it throws up "Service Call 0030" which is for the X axis motor which is also working just fine as I have seen it move. well, can you see or investigate what exactly is making the buzzing noise? do you have a loose belt so the motor is just spinning away and not moving the belt? perhaps you have a problem with an endstop? could be several things I would take a good look around

It's the warning buzzer. I just ended up contacting the seller and am shipping it back for a refund. I am going to just have to wait until a new good deal comes on the market again and hope that one works. I bought this one off ebay, supposedly it was brand new yet it had so manny defects and issues, it looked like it had been dropped off the back of a truck.

Re: Y/X Axis Error

I also have an 0030 error - Which means "X-axis movement abnormalities" according to the manual.

Action (according to manual): Check motor/sensor connections. Check sensor position.

The problem is obvious - the plate has gone way up, even bending the moving belt. This hinders the extruder from going left on the X-axis.
The solution is, however not obvious. I can't access the menu to pull down the plate. And I can't find the sensors - exept from the one on the extruder according to a xyzprinting video on the Da Vinci 1.0 (which is almost identical to my Da Vinci 2.0 AiO).

Any ideas?
Thanks.

Re: Y/X Axis Error

My error 0030 code was due to a short in the x-axis sensor cable assembly. Easy to verify with continuity check w/ multi-meter.
Mine was pinched with cable tie on the y-axis carriage and caused a short.
X-axis sensor is the 3 red wire harness. Y-axis is 3 orange wire harness. Find on mainboard and follow up to sensor locations.
My printer is 1.0A, so colors may be different, but should be easy to identify on mainboard.
