Re: E3d metal hotend needs excessive tempuratures for ABS?
I have the opposite issue. I installed E3D and ended up using the standard temp sensor from my stock SD2 hotend. Seems for example PLA needs to be extruded at 75 degrees which the hot end is clearly getting hotter then that if the PLA is extruding.
My e3D only had a small sensor hole but I was told to drill it bigger to fit the stock temp sensor. I can't use the temp sensor that came with the E3D because the lil leg broke off and now I have drilled a bigger hole for my old stock one(that worked previously).
** still in process of updating firmware and doing that tonioght, but I don't know if it would help this problem. Also tried Auto tuning with no change
