Topic: OSX, drivers, and Repetier Host

Hi Guys,

Need some brainpower on this one.

I want to run my Solidoodle 3 from my Macbook Pro. Went to the solidoodle page, downloaded RH, and installed it. The way the SD pages were configured, I totally missed that OSX users have to install the driver first sad

Played with RH for a few hours before reviewing my the SD pages again. During that time, whenever I would connect, I would get 5 commands backed up and no control over the SD3.

Downloaded the driver and tried to connect. Again, I get the same 5 commands waiting to be sent to the printer, and no connection.

Has anyone had this happen before? Did I make a fatal mistake in installing? I can run the machine off an old PC laptop, so I know that it connects, just won't do so with my mac.

I would like to get this working so I can do a firmware update, but after this I am beginning to wonder if its a good idea.

Re: OSX, drivers, and Repetier Host

Im getting same message/trouble on my IBM laptop (win XP PC as always b4) that my SD2 was working on b4 I connected it to new dock station with added parallel and serial ports and installed other devices with it. its like its not fully connecting right like when I 1st installed a year ago and wrong port was selected. so tried undocking even and only hooking SD2 same problem. I have tried every thing I know but its playing dumb now that I need to use it ASAP. I never did trust the whole vertual install way the SD installs and not seen in hardware profiles etc. its too easy for other devices to overide connection port. also reinstalled solidoodle software (Python dont install right though and never did) dont want to reinstall repetier and have to reconfig just due to normal use/adding devices. and dont see how that would help).

Solidoodle 2 with Deluxe kit cover & glass bed with heater. and 2nd board SD2 used not 3rd and alum platform not installed yet still wood. also need cooling fan installed to board. use Repetier Host couple vers. Slic3r also have all free ware STL programs

OK LOL got mine working, last time I was printing I read somebody say in printer config in repetier to set baud rate from 250000 to 115200. thats miss imformation. the new software has to have baud rate at 250000 to comunicate. try that
