Topic: Solidoodle 3 z-axis lead screw

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting the lead screw off of the stepper motor on a 6/2013 era S3. I was told that the lead screw is epoxied onto the motor shaft.

I was thinking a little heat may loosen the epoxy.

If I can't get the shaft off where is the best place to buy a new stepper?

first find a nut that fits the lead screw then slip a small pipe or some sort of spacers on the lead screw and put the nut on after and tighten this will press the stepper shaft out of the z screw.

Or just 2-3 nuts as this is usually the distance from the stepper to the screw.  You'll need 2 sets of pliers to do it, but it works.  Wrap the screw with a towel or something so that you don't strip the threads with the pliers.
