			<description><![CDATA[<p>Or just 2-3 nuts as this is usually the distance from the stepper to the screw.&nbsp; You&#039;ll need 2 sets of pliers to do it, but it works.&nbsp; Wrap the screw with a towel or something so that you don&#039;t strip the threads with the pliers.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>first find a nut that fits the lead screw then slip a small pipe or some sort of spacers on the lead screw and put the nut on after and tighten this will press the stepper shaft out of the z screw.</p>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[Solidoodle 3 z-axis lead screw]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting the lead screw off of the stepper motor on a 6/2013 era S3. I was told that the lead screw is epoxied onto the motor shaft.</p><p>I was thinking a little heat may loosen the epoxy.</p><p>If I can&#039;t get the shaft off where is the best place to buy a new stepper?</p>]]></description>
