So it isn't quite so simple as your CC billing and shipping info being different. We have an anti-fraud algorithm that checks orders, and if yours is deemed within a certain risk percentile, it gets detained, and we ask for further identification.

As long as you reply promptly with your proof of ID, it will have absolutely zero effect of your ship time. As the support person said, we ship them by the order date.

The process should work:
CS informs you of fraud check -> You respond with ID -> Process approved -> ships at normal time.

The best thing you can do to keep this speedy is to reply promptly to the requests of the CSR.

The only situation where your order would be delayed is if you waited a long time to give proof of ID, or refused to give it. We use this proof of ID policy because it is Paypal's preferred method, and helps us keep things happy with the Paypal people, and keeps us safe from fraud. If you've signed up for a paypal account in the last few years you might have done this directly for paypal.

We do have multiple customer service people, and thousands of customers. If you ever have a complaint about the performance of any given CSR, you can contact [email protected]. He is our customer service manager, and he can respond to problems with the CS personnel. (I myself haven't worked in customer service for quite some time.)

Some of our CS personnel might be less than articulate at times, but I assure you they know what's going on with your printer. If you're status still reads as a security review, then they need your I.D information plain and simple. If you've given it, and it hasn't been changed, you are probably in line for the review.

This process typically takes 24-48 hours.

If your printer is marked as "OK to ship" then the printer is well on its way to being shipped. The CSR cannot speed things up at that point. You are simply experiencing the same lead times everyone else is.

The scheduling of the printer's manufacture is done independently of the security process.

Just to elaborate on the CC process, so you know we aren't lying to you, here's the process:

You buy a solidoodle -> Your money goes to paypal -> fraud detection holds the payment with paypal -> pending fraud approval we accept your money.

So, yes your card has been charged. We charge everyone's cards the moment they buy the printer. However, until we certify that the order is not fraudulent the money is held in paypal limbo where it can be easily returned to you.

Been in production for a while

A week or so. Often, customs will add a few days.

It should go out within the next 14 days at worst, if not sooner. Maximum lead time we are experiencing is about 4 weeks, but most orders are going out far faster than that.

No worries, you have not been lost.

More than likely, yes it will ship this week. 14 days was a worst case scenario there.

Shipping is very slow

In production means that it is on the production line. Should be going out in the next week or so. No more than that.
