Topic: filament breaking

I attached a picture of my filament.  Am I missing a part or something to guide the filament?  As the printer moves around and pulls tight it snaps the filament every time.

It would appear that you ended up with a bad roll of OCTAVE.  They had some kind of recall on the rolls that were wrapped with plastic wrap.  You have two choices 1. you can call your vendor and they will most likely replace it with a new roll.  or
2. you can pull off about 1/4 of the roll and throw it away.  You'll find that the inner part of the roll is much less brittle.  I had the exact same issue with a roll of black that looked just like yours and it's almost impossible to get that plastic wrap off.
