Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

cdu, you might notice this is the Australian filament suppliers forum. But I guess in the typical Chinese filament supplier fashion you  saturate all for sale sections in all forums with no regard for forum etiquette or relevance.

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Hi all,

I've posted a number of times about 3dprintergear, but once again I've just had another great experience with them. Nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend using them and supporting a local business rather than getting them imported direct from china. You have local support if something goes wrong, and they are more than willing to help you out.

Thanks again Jamie.

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Hello all.

I'm a startup filament supplier based in Wollongong NSW.

At the moment I have plenty of stock of 1.75mm ABS.  This is a premium quality ABS with great saturated colours.  I have 10 colours in stock and it's all $35 plus GST and freight.  My freight is $10 any order over $300 is free freight.

By the middle of next month I'll have 10 colours of PLA, HIPS in natural, Glow PLA and ABS and PVA in natural.

I won't be stocking 3mm as my spidey sense tells me the market is limited.

I can be found at

modfab com au

I own a Leapfrog Creatr and have been helping a few people out with troubleshooting on them so if any of the members are considering buying one, feel free to ask any questions.

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Thanks for your order Serin.  I'll send that off on Monday morning smile

My new shipment has landed and should clear customs next week.  It'll take a little while for me to get all the new stock on the site though.

Order received, Ben.
Looks good, was a little warm on arrival but given it's ABS it should be fine.

I'll test it out later tonight when it cools down a bit big_smile

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Good to hear Serin.  The order was posted Monday morning so that's pretty good work from Aus Post.

I'm assuming the packing was OK, no rips or tears?

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

Hi All.

I am now up to a full compliment of plastics and colours. modfab-com-au has ABS and PLA in eleven colours.  Recently I've added HIPS and PVA which are both soluble.  HIPS can be dissolved in citrus oil and PVA in cold water when used as support material in a dual extruder machine.

Next to come will be Nylon but probably not until the new year.

Hi All. I would also like to thank 3dprintergear for the great service and range.

Has anyone got some pics of things made with purple, red, blue or any colour t-glasse?
I really want to try some.

Hi jasonART3d,  Thanks for the kind words. Shoot me an email I should be able to rummage up some samples of colour T-glase for you.

Looks like it is going to be a very exciting year for 3D printing, so many new products on the horizon already!

Happy 2014 everyone.

Re: Australian Filament Suppliers

I don’t think anyone wants a costly shipment and long wait. Anyone here tried 3d2print.net? Aside from my experience with them, may be they can validate/prove their good service.
