Topic: Solidoodle stock rods not useable with linear bearings
I finally decided to take the printer apart so I can updgrade to the Lawsy carriage ends and my new extruder. I had previously ordered some smooth chromed rods and the linear bearings I have move smoothly on those rods, but when I tried to slip them on the Solidoodle stock shafts, they are so tight, that they almost have to be forced to slide.
Has anyone else found the stock rods to be unusable with linear bearings?
I also made a pillow block for the 6mm connector rod at the back, but when I tried to put the 6mm bearings on the shaft, they won't fit either.
