Topic: Solidoodle 3 fixed problems and current problems. HELP?!

Hello, I hope you all had a great holiday.  Yesterday morning I hooked up my brand new Solidoodle 3. And after a little leveling it printed perfectly. Half way through the second print I got an M999 error which I fixed myself. And after that the prints weren't sticking to the bed so I tried all the suggestions on the solidoodle website including the Acetone and Abs solution but nothing worked. After taping the bed with blue painters tape they stayed perfectly in place. Now my problem is that when it prints it looks like it slides but doesn't actually side across the bed. I attached a photo of what it looked like when I first printed which is the two on the right and the two on the left are what it does now.  I would greatly appreciate your help.

First off... Welcome to the forum.
There are many things that can cause what your experiencing but try putting a fan on your steppers (point any fan at the board).  When they get hot they skip and moving some air over them should help.
This is assuming you have lubricated the rods and made sure everything moves nicely. 
Also make sure it isn't something obvious like something came loose.
Secondly you can add a small heat sink to the bottom of the x-stepper motor to help keep it cool.

Seems like it is shifting on the Y axis.

Check your pulley. The pulley connecting the Y stepper might be loose therefore causing this.

Thank you.  I will try what you suggested. And everything is level and well lubricated. But now some other problems have arised. First off while printing an excess amount of filament is extruding causing an messy, gooey print. And when extruding the two rods that pull the filament down skip and I made sure the filaments not stuck.

You're overextruding, and you might have a clog in the hot end. Both are covered EXTENSIVELY on the forum. Have a search.

What do you mean? 
Are you using ABS and at what temp?
It sounds like you need to calibrate your extruder.

Alright so I'm currently watching the video. I keep the print bed at 100C° and the extruder at 200C° I will lookup about over extruding and clogging. What do you think would be most likely the cause of it? And yes I am using ABS

also make sure that your roll of filament is free to spin... and filament is not tangling around the spool holder rod smile this happens a lot on all printers that don't have a filament retention system.

If you leave your extruder heat on for any amount of time say 10 minutes while not extruding it can cause it to clog.
That is what led me to buy an E3D hot end.  If when you extrude into mid air it doesn't come out nice and fluid like and straight it is probably beginning to clog.  This is most likely what is causing your filament to strip in between the gear and bearing.

thanks I will. and another problem have come up. the drive motor is turning but the belt is slipping which is stopping it from moving forward

I'm new to this and I'm only 16 so I apologize that I don't know a lot about these but its the motor that's up higher and is on the left. I believe its the Y-motor

No worries your doing fine,   The x is the one that moves the extruder left and right.  The Y is the one that moves the extruder front to back.
With the printer off can you freely (without significant binding) move the extruder each direction?

So is the belt that runs left to right loose?  The one that runs front to back on the left side loose?

Not to tight but not to loose is basically all the guidance they give.

Oh my mistake I should of clarified. its not the long belt its the short belt that the motor turns and theres only one of it

I was just thinking you should check that.  If all the others seem good then just loosen the four bolts on the outside of the printer (Left side) that hold that motor.  They are slotted so all you have to do is slide the motor down till the belt is tight and re tighten the bolts.   That should help fix your problems but you really need to spend some time doing calibrations.
