Topic: Calibration and now problems

About a week ago i went through the calibrations for my extruder.  I found that i was over extruding to the tune of about 25% (i could see it because the center infill was humped up higher than the outter walls and the nozzle would drag).  So i got it set to the correct extrusion but now all of my models i print the outter walls dont make good contact with the infill or where 2 outter walls come close and just a slightly fatter than 1 bead it just puts dots everywhere inbetween.  I dont have my settings handy or even a picture of it because im out of town but i can post them when i get home this weekend.  Any thoughts though?  It didnt do this before the calibration.  But now my parts are much better on their size.

Re: Calibration and now problems

Depends. What did you alter for extrusion and why? The proper way to calibrate extrusion is the 100mm test to get your steps/mm dialed in and save to your EEPROM through Repetier Host.

Then, you print a single wall cube and measure it using calipers to dial in your extrusion mutliplier in slicer.

So, if you have done exactly that, then we need to go into further adjustments.

Re: Calibration and now problems

I did the 100 mm test and thats were i got my 25% off....but then i got busy and forgot that i hadnt done the cube test.  Did the cube test this weekend and found my problem in doing that.  All is pretty much right with it now.  Thanks for the reply though!
