Topic: Ghetto Case Mod so far

Here's my ghetto case mod so far tongue Even has a hinge with a magnet.

Got lucky at Lowes and picked up 2 clear plastic pieces for $2. He said normally he's allowed to cut and give away scrap for free, but the manager got a little picky. No complaints with $2.

Nice. I just use a Reflectix coozy. Wrap one sheet around the 3 sides and tie it off with jute, and another piece set on top with a "double pane" half a zip lock bag plastic window taped in it. So that is my red neck ghetto rig.

I find I only feel the need to use it for printing a lot of separate pieces that would cool down too much and maybe have delamination problems later. Like all the hubs for this dome in one go for instance. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:157783

The Reflectix I mention, in case you do not know, is a foil faced bubble wrap, great stuff, sells for around $0.40/ft2 by me.

Finally got the clear tray everyone is using. Laid down some medium density weather seal. It actually creates a really nice seal when I just lay the tray down on top. Had some weather seal left over so I added it to my clear panel as well. Also added some different type of weather seal to the doors. I found that the "D" shape compresses much more easily than the solid foam stuff. Makes it easy for the door to close and seal.

Threw a thermometer in there. Cut some slots in the side so that the air temperature would change faster. Actually gets nice and toasty in the enclosed case.
