Topic: Extruder heater shutting off after every print. Why?

Using Repetier and Slic3r. I think I must have set an option somewhere to tell it to do this since it does it so infallibly, but where? I'd rather it stayed on.

Okay, thanks. Not being a G Coder, I assume you mean there is a M104 SO in the GCode. So, how to I make it stop doing that? Also, could you recommend a good primer on GCode? Thanks, Ian.

Re: Extruder heater shutting off after every print. Why?

Personally, I like disabling the print head between jobs because it helps avoid having filament sitting hot in there. Seems to be the leading cause of clogs.

SD3 w/ RUMBA (8825s), merlin hot end (in pieces). Ender3 w/ silent board for PLA printing. Ender5 w/ silent board, e3d v6, new z lead screw, and glass bed. DiY Kossel w/ smoothieboard (in pieces). Vellman Vertex (in pieces)

+1 on that...I never leave my extruder hot without running a print; and it heats up so fast, I find it a non-issue.  BTW, I've haven't had a clog in over a year.

SD2 - Stock - Enclosure - Heated Bed - Glass Plate - Auto Fire Extinguisher
Ord Bot Hadron - RAMPS 1.4 - Bulldog XL - E3D v6 - 10" x 10" PCB Heated Build w/SSR - Glass Plate

Re: Extruder heater shutting off after every print. Why?

I run M104 S130 in my end g-code. I don't have any problems either.
