Topic: Standard SD3 to SD3++

I'm curious what improvements and order of improvements experienced SDer's  would recommend to get a new SD3 printing as good as it can get. It would be great if you can list a couple links in your posts  to parts or steps that explain each improvement.

1. For me the first thing I would do is the set up to print on glass. http://www.soliforum.com/topic/160/glass-bed/
2. Calibrations (I' m  not sure the best order to calibrate)

I found Ian's link to calibrations http://www.soliwiki.com/Main_Page#Calibrations

Re: Standard SD3 to SD3++

Here is a thread of a slightly more complicated mod that I hope to do soon. It uses a  M3 rod to decrease the banding issues that face some SDer's

Here's a really good calibration to do. I recommend doing extrusion and flow calibrations first and then do the nickel test.

Re: Standard SD3 to SD3++

Extrusion and flow calibrations easily tripled the quality of my prints. It is night and day. Aside from calibrations, the only mod I have done is adding a well nut to the z axis to address banding, but I did that because it couldn't hurt, not because it was causing any actual issues.

Re: Standard SD3 to SD3++

Anyone know of a good mod to add a fan to blow on the circuit board? Turns out that my SD3 with the wooden print bed needs a fan blowing on it to make it run properly!! I guess it runs just a little hot.
