Topic: Question about slicer and dual core processors with windows xp
I have a windows xp Pro machine with an athlon 64 x2 3800+. I've tried using the latest version of repetier and the official solidoodle one. When I slice with either software it maxes out one processor while leaving the other processor idle. I have a ubuntu machine that uses a slightly faster processor (a 4400+) and it uses both cores by default. Is there any way to make windows xp do this as well? Using both cores results in a MUCH faster slice.
