Topic: Printer always prints unreasonably super fast halfway

I'm printing Pixil Bit's Cube part from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:120128
It prints perfectly, but whenever it reach the middle part it starts to print super fast, it's like suddenly someone pressed the Fast-Forward button. I've printed 3 times it always fail exactly at the same point. See attached pic, they only differ in height because I pressed the Kill Job different timings.

At first I thought it's detecting the upper curve as 'Bridges' so I sliced it again with my bridges speed at 30mm/s but same thing happens.

My Slic3r settings is 0.1mm see attached GCODE.

I just left home for work. I will upload tonight. I thought anyone can see the slic3r settings in the gcode I've uploaded.

Re: Printer always prints unreasonably super fast halfway

They can, you are right [Edit: But not all of the settings.]. But it helps to have it right here rather than two steps of downloading and opening file.

Re: Printer always prints unreasonably super fast halfway

I did look at the g-code but that only shows a few of the settings. None of them look to be causing any issues.

I was curious though about your extrusion multiplier at 70% with a filament diameter of 1.68. Have you run the extruder calibration yet to set your extruder steps/mm?

Re: Printer always prints unreasonably super fast halfway

Actually I also just noticed it now. I already changed that to 1.75mm and 1 for multiplier.
The 1.68 and .7 came from Solidoodle's default settings I don't know why. But I think it's not the cause.

The fast forward thing happens exactly when it's at the middle and about to do the upper downward direction Arc.

Re: Printer always prints unreasonably super fast halfway

check the cooling settings under the Filament settings tab. If enable auto cooling is checked then make sure Min print speed isn't something crazy. It should be 5-10mm/s by default. But if it comes on at the smallest layers then this might be kicking in. If you have a fast speed there it might do what you are describing.

I don't know if this even applies to you but it could be something to check.

Ok I will check the cooling features later.

Re: Printer always prints unreasonably super fast halfway

(And if you sort that out, you should definitively calibrate your setup.  If you previously were printing at 1.68 dia with 0.7 multiplier, then you're now dumping a lot more filament down. Check out Ian Johnson's solidoodletips.wordpress.com)

Re: Printer always prints unreasonably super fast halfway

I already did the extruder calibration from Ian's before. There's no big difference in values so I just set it to default 1.75mm and multiplier 1.
