Topic: Solidworks 3D assembly of a Solidoodle 3 parinter or at least the axis

Hi
I have printed some with my Solidoodle 3 now and the mods continoue big_smile

Are there someone out htere that has a 3D assembly of the Solidoodle 3 printer. I would like to design a hinged arm for the cables out to the extruder so that the cables do not hit the left hand side belt when printing wide.

A 3D assembly would help a lot when doing this.

You can find a mostly done model here on the forum, can't find the thread right now but you can search for it or someone else will link it.

For the wire -> cable problem, most people did this http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:51134 or a variation (theres a remix or two with longer tongues) or there is the newer cable chains like this http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:104817 again with details in the thread from lawsy on here referenced on the thingiverse page about the extra links needed for an SD3.

Hope that helps a bit..

If you go the wire guide route, rather than the first URL adrian quoted, use this one: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:94675   The first one is sized for the SD2, the second one is a remix sized for the SD3.
