Re: Android App for resetting/writing blank ntags
Just change your background to grey and blank when you use the app. You won't use it that often.
Thanks, I already did. I hope modfreakz could find a better solution.

Thank you so much for the final release of this App. I am so glad I found this. It did not work after first inspection, but re-reading everything and making sure my settings were right and that I downloaded the correct file, everything seems to be working like a charm! thank you very much!

Hi modfreakz,
Thanks for the new version but it's still transparent. I've send my os details to you by PM.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the people commenting and working on this app. I downloaded it and after a couple of tries it worked perfectly! Thank you!
Bonjour,
Merci pour le soft, cela fonctionne super bien, ne pas dépasser les 200m pour une MiniMaker.
très bon travail, merci encore !
The app + nfc chips worked great with my da Vinci Color! Thanks so much for making this app available.
Also, my phone is a Google Pixel 2 with the latest android OS and I'm yet to experience the transparency issue others are reporting.
I tried it just now on the note 10 plus and no transparency issues
I have tried to replicate/simulate the problem on Android Studio virtual devices but it is working fine.
Looks like the problem start with version 1.5x, here I started for the first time to use some more Activities.
Could it be something with their settings or themes?

My guess is his version of android is too old for the drivers and such you are using to developers the app. Or he has a memory issue with too many things open and in background. My Note 10 plus is on Android 9 and no issues.

It's weird. Nexus phones uses pure Android. Also I didn't install any themes.
I'll keep version 1.40.
Thanks a lot.
So does anyone know if you can use the paper tags using the most recent firmware?
I just today activated a new paper tag with the v1.2 tag generator and it works like a new spool should.
XYZ print version 2.0.1 latest firmware in the miniMaker.

Bravo to the programmer!
What version of Android is required? I have an older Android phone and the 1.52 version won't event launch. 1.4 opens and immediately closes. The phone is Android 7.1.1.
Android 5.x - 10.x
Do you have NFC enabled?
Are you trying to install or to start the App ?
When I look up the phone it says it has NFC, but I am not sure where to enable it.
It's a ZTE Z839.
If I google right, this phone (ZTE Blade Vantage) don't have NFC support/hardware!!
Thats why it won't event launch!

I can confirm, PhoneDB does not list it as having NFC. Nor does phonearena.com which is the goto for phone information.

Is there a list of what firmware work with these tags and what firmware doesnt work? Also does tags programmed with this work in all Da Vinci printers?

Not all of them use tags. The 1.0, the Aoi, and the 2.0 use chips that require an electrical connection.
Hi, I realize this is an old thread but I'm trying to find the APK you made to download it and I can't seem to find it anywhere is there a link or something that you could give to me, any help would be greatly appreciated, I am currently printing masks and face shields to donate to medical personnel and I have a considerable amount of filament left on my "Empty" spools that I would like to get to use lol
I downloaded and unzipped the ntag tool, it said it was saved in emulated storage but I can't find it anywhere, can someone tell me the file path I have to search to find the APK to install it?
