Topic: Spare Electronics

I immediately thought - what if the failure will center plate printer. Have to wait for a new at least a few weeks.
If you buy a set like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sanguinololu-Re … 3ccb76caf7
It can also be used as a spare part? Visually, I carefully compared, differences from the fee which solidudl put on their printer seems to be no.

Re: Spare Electronics

Yes it will work, but you need the full thing which costs 70 or 100$ (unless you want to do all the soldering yourself). Personally,  I would buy a spare ATMega1284 instead (10$, and actually you can also directly replace the 644 that you have and keep that as a spare) and maybe an extra Pololu driver (other 10$) as it's unlikely that you will destroy all of them at the same time.

Soldering is not problem for me.
About a couple of additional drivers i thought also.

Re: Spare Electronics

After frying mine, I bought a Sanguinolo from Norcal-Reprap on ebay, and it was great.
