Ok. I made a part, like the test quare I mentioned previously, except I made the wall .48mm.
IIIP Cura warned me that setting the Shell Thickness to .48 was not a mutliple of the nozzle size, but appeared to generate gcode anyway.
The resulting print came out odd, about 1/3 of each side printed. I checked the gcode with an online viewer, and the print matches the gcode, so something was weird in there. Anyway, the wall thickness I measure is .022". - .48mm should be .0189".
I can imagine, regarding the different slicers problem. I have IIIP Cura, which I began using when I got the printer. I also got Ultimaker Cura 3.2.1 from their web site. The menus and even some of the names of the settings are different, making it difficult to know how to set it up.
