Re: XYZ Printing Da Vinci Jr (w) / Da Vinci Mini (w) Hacking

sorry but google translate bad ... what do you mean by chenage your meter on your left?
o me not from 999 meters but 200 to 200 then full.
the software let me load the filament but it just stops me from printing and now that filament is unusable. I also tried to disable the software and reinstall it but nothing.
You could write in a simple way for Google translator the procedure
I'm sorry for the trouble

I have version 2.1.24.1 of the software and now I have to throw away 156 feet of filament because I no longer accept the chip. I just use the android app with the password and modified the lines 8 0a 0b 14 15 16 17
the software counter works for me 200/200 meters but it does not let me print ...
sorry the emutag where i buy it in the case and what procedure is used? excuse me is new

i have now 2.1.24.2 and it work for me... only when the emutag reset filament (put on 9999m) and change to 300, the printer doesnt print, but change to meter of you left for the filament and print...
change line 8 to 5A505A00 and try

Re: XYZ Printing Da Vinci Jr (w) / Da Vinci Mini (w) Hacking

already tried and tells me that filament is not original and does not print ...

Bozotclown1970 wrote:

One other thing you may try would be to set the length back to 200 instead of 300 and see if that works.

if I put 200 again, I return the meter right meter ie 156 meters remaining but still does not print as it tells me not original

I see nothing wrong with the data on the tag. This must be a firmware restriction not allowing you to make changes to your tag.

Re: XYZ Printing Da Vinci Jr (w) / Da Vinci Mini (w) Hacking

I can confirm that resetting the ntag and removing the eeprom still works on a Mini W with the latest firmware (1.2.1) and latest XYZWare (2.1.25.2) as of today.

I am not clear on what you are asking.

but tags tagging procedure when done?

437

Re: XYZ Printing Da Vinci Jr (w) / Da Vinci Mini (w) Hacking

the tag trick works on a new cartridge that has never been used on that printer or on a cartridge already used and with half filament? To be clear, do I make changes to a new one ever on the printer or on a cartridge that the filament residue is 20 meters?

Let me see if I understand what you are saying.

1. The trick works on new tags? - Yes, if you make the changes prior to placing the tag in the printer you can adjust the tag to 300m instead of 200m. this will give you twice as much printing.

2. Can you modify a used tag? - I am not 100% sure, but I believe once the tag has been in the printer. You can no longer make any changes to it. What you can to is swap it with another person and make sure the new tag has 300m prior to placing it in your printer.

EmuTag should always work.

Yes you can write to emutag and arduino if you have a pn532 shield or something similar for your Adruino.

ok, i have arduino uno R3 and RC522 S50 RFID (https://es.aliexpress.com/item/RFID-mod … 46026.html) i would like a tutorial with a free program because only one that i know cost about 7 pound...

Re: XYZ Printing Da Vinci Jr (w) / Da Vinci Mini (w) Hacking

That RFID card is not a PN5322 which I specifically said I had.

I would like a milion dollars, but we don;t always get what we want.

That is great.

And I just tried the new 1.2.2 firmware on one of my printers, it still works fine.
I connected the eeprom, updated the firmware, disconnected the eeprom, made a print, reset the tag and restarted the printer, and it prints fine again.

I find it kinda strange that they don´t check for the presence of the eeprom at all, they seem to just do a search for a tag, and if it can´t find it, it just prints, and of course, without the eeprom it can´t find much smile

I dont think that they (xyz) would expect too many customers to be cutting parts off of their board.  That is limited to a very few and probably not worth protecting against.

Welcome Back Daniel456

Also, if they weren't aware of the problem. They are now. This was a great find!

Re: XYZ Printing Da Vinci Jr (w) / Da Vinci Mini (w) Hacking

So, play it safe.  NO MORE FIRMWARE UPGRADES........   in my opinion

Mr Clown, have you modified your jr?

447

Re: XYZ Printing Da Vinci Jr (w) / Da Vinci Mini (w) Hacking

No, At this time I still have 2.2.4 and no need to mod or update firmware.

Welcome Back Daniel456

Doesn´t everyone do that to all the stuff they buy?

I´ve got a brand new digital oscilloscope that I´m gonna look in to next, I need to find a way to reset that too smile, as long as nothing is ball-soldered its usually no problem taking things apart smile, although, I have re-balled a couple of hundred xbox 360 gpus smile

To bad the Da Vinci Color is so expensive, but that printer got me thinking of something, I´m gonna build a full color printer of my own smile, or atleast do some experiments and see if my poc holds up smile

Re: XYZ Printing Da Vinci Jr (w) / Da Vinci Mini (w) Hacking

You must have some really good soldering equipment. My problem is I don;t want to tear my board up unsoldering the chip. Then I have to solder something back on so I can re-attach the chip. I can do it with a flame thower.  sad

I don´t have anything special, I´ve got some Weller soldering stations and I buy good tips and replace them often, and I´ve got a decent hot air station with good temperature and airflow controls.
