Topic: No power, but not power supply

Hello,

I have an old Sanguinololu Solidoodle 3 that finally took a hard dump. I suspected it was the power supply and replaced it, but still no power. Well, that's not entirely true... when I plug it in after it has sat for a few minutes, it lights up/fans on for a split second; did it with both old and new PSUs. So, now I am wondering what I should do. Can I trouble shoot some more components, get a new board, or something else?

I also unplugged all the connections to the board individually to see if there was a short somewhere and still nothing... so I think it's in the board itself. I've heard of people upgrading the Sanguinololu boards to something newer, so should I try that? Any advice is appreciated.

I hate to bother you, but I am having trouble finding a post with the details. I used the search function and it's just turning up every comment with something remotely related. Could you link it or tell me something specific to search for?

They all basically install the same way.  Flash with the firmware from the WIKI and connect all the wires.  Most of which is labeled on the boards.
