Topic: Mod Podge--- Best adhesion yet!
I was fed up with my corners warping. I have been going through glue sticks like butter. Painter's tape didn't quite cut it either, as I had to reapply almost every time, which is a pain since we can't take the bed out. Hairspray gets all over everywhere.
In desperation yesterday, I grabbed by wife's bottle of mod podge and said "what the hay."
Using a foam brush, I painted a thin layer on the bed and hit print on a large print that took up most of the print bed.
And got the best print I have seen yet!!
Perfect adhesion!
Now, getting the piece off was another chore, as it was stuck on their pretty tight. Using a water soaked towel and surrounding the piece, little by little I was able to finally get it off without breaking the glass.
I watered down the mod podge with 1:1 water, and did another print overnight. Good adhesion, and only took half the work to get it off. I then did 1:2 with water, and have been printing for the last 8 hours. No warping, all looks good.
Hopefully I have found the right mixture that I will be able to get the piece off without too much work. Nothing yet in my experience beats being able to just paint on a thin layer of watered down mod podge.
I have read about similar processed with elmer's glue, so I guess this isn't anything too new... but I like it!
