Topic: Thermistor Resistance reading

I've been getting the dreaded "Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999..." So I figure it must be a thermistor problem. I unplugged the thermistor and tried to get a multi-meter reading at 200ohms but I couldn't' get a reading no matter what pins i touched. Even though that's the case it seems to read temperature fine when I start to heat up my extruder end. What's the deal?

The printer is usually running great for about an hour and then it goes into that error.

Bad connection somewhere in the thermistor wiring.

With the thermistor at room temperature, you should be using something more like 200k as a setting on your meter.

D'oh, stupid me. I think I missed that little "k" In the troubleshoot I was reading. Any recommendations on how to find where the bad wire is? Or should I just buy a new thermistor?
