Topic: Looking to buy Workbench hotend assemblies BST

Hello everyone, I'm in search of some replacement hotend assemblies for my solidoodle workbench. I tried getting replacements from solidoodle but it's been over a month with no response from them after taking my payment, so I thought I'd see if anyone on the forums has some that they are looking to sell!

Re: Looking to buy Workbench hotend assemblies BST

FINALLY I got a response embarrassing them on their own Facebook page:

"I understand the frustration. I actually just started about a month ago as the head of marketing and I have met several people, like yourself, who have been experiencing similar issues.

It's true - We have not been as responsive as we should have been in the past and, to be honest, you have done all the right things.

The best way to reach customer service is using the website: http://support.solidoodle.com/hc/en-us

There are also community driven forums over at www.Soliforum.com

Having said all of that, I will be sharing your experience internally with our team to raise awareness and work with the team to solve our communication issues. None of the above should be taken as an excuse. I am very sorry for the negative experience you've had and look forward to being able to get this resolved for you."

Thanks!

*BUMP* Anyone? I think that the hotend assemblies from the SD4 and WB Aprentice would work as well, please help!

Re: Looking to buy Workbench hotend assemblies BST

E3d V6's would be one option, I'd convert it over to an E3d Cyclops.  That way you get the benefit of dual extrusion without the downside of the second nozzle dragging through your print.

Printit Industries Model 8.10 fully enclosed CoreXY, Chamber heat
3-SD3's & a Workbench all fully enclosed, RH-Slic3r Win7pro, E3D V6, Volcano & Cyclops Hot End
SSR/500W AC Heated Glass Bed, Linear bearings on SS rods. Direct Drive Y-axis, BulldogXL
Thanks to all for your contributions

I would have to agree with wardjr on this one - ditch the stock hotends and go E3D - pretty much any of their hotends are well worth the money.

SD4 #1 & #2 - Lawsy carriages, E3D v6, Rumba controller board, mirror bed plate, X motor fan, upgraded PSU & Mica bed heater
SD4 #3 - in the works ~ Folgertech FT-5, rev 1
Printit Industries Beta Tester - Horizon H1

Wardjr would you be willing to do the installation for me if I order the e3D hotends? I rember talking a few months back and you mentioned maybe being able to offer help if I ever needed it since we live in the same state. I'd pay you well for your services!

I'm considering new E3D hot ends for my workbench as well.  Do I need to print a new carriage? Where do I find a model for that?

I ended up buying Shoag's Workbench.  You would need a different carriage and I will be designing one.  It won't be in the next couple of weeks though.  Have you checked Thingiverse for anything?

Re: Looking to buy Workbench hotend assemblies BST

If you get 2 of the v6, this could be an option.
