Topic: printing problems

I have a solidoodle4.  When i go to print something, itll start the outline of it and pause at points and then keep going.  It then gets set off course after that thinking that it is still on course and will then start printing more to the right making it end up lobsided.  Im new to the 3d printing to.  Also when it goes in to fill a layer, it will start fine and then it will start making lines that go all over the place.  Ive seen it print properly before and its not printing how it used to.  Any thoughts on why it might be doing this?

Re: printing problems

I believe that it works again.  to trouble shoot this, I lubed up the poles with white lithium grease. and if that doesnt work see if you can move the belt over a little bit so the gears arent in the same grooves over and over again.  I believe that was what the problem was.

Re: printing problems

Keep us posted. There could be a number of reasons why you experiencing this. It sounds like you are experiencing shifting and while it could be from dry motion, it would be obvious from the noise of screeches and clanks.
Fortunately, if it is another problem, it IS fixable! smile

Re: printing problems

Sounds like you are experiencing a PSU interruption.  Most likely a bad connection at the board but it could also be a bad connection right in the PSU itself.  My bet is the problem is right at the barrel connector.
