Topic: Solidoodle Workbench Apprentice stop in mid print

my Solidoodle Workbench Apprentice is stopping in the middle of printing it like the software is locking up on it anyone having problems like this ?? what should i look for to fix it ?

• Creates plastic parts up to 6" x 6" x 8"
• Heated Aluminum Build Platform with Glass Bed
• Dual extruder

Locking up as in the program freezes? What software? Do you get error codes of any kind?

I did not get any error codes
I am using setupRepetierHostSolidoodle_0_85_117
Is there something better to use ?
Can I use the the updated RepetierHost?

Did you notice the extruder temp when it stopped?

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

Seems like you either have a short or you have to play with one of the plugs. Your problem is either from the heater, thermistor, or extruder motor....but we need a bit more info.

Does it make any sounds when it stops?
What does the temp graph show? It should be a fairly steady line. Slight fluctuation is normal.
What is happening when it stops? Is RH switching between extruders?

When it stops that the heat plate is  still stays hot and the extruder still hot
What is the best software to run ?

Check that you don't have any auto update software running on your computer and that all sleep mode/hibernate modes/screensavers are turned off.

Best software is a tough one.

Most familiar is R-H and Slic3r at least around these parts.
