Topic: Does room temp affect printing?

I've started thinking about where to put my printer (SD Press) when it finally arrives.  The main things I've come across in my reading is that it's best to be away from drafts if possible, and to keep in mind possible harmful effects of fumes.

I was thinking about having it in my utility/laundry room.  The thing is, I don't keep it at normal room temp to save on the utility bill.  In the winter it is probably 50-60 (F), and summer possibly as high as the 90s (F).

Do any of you have experience printing in similar environments?
Would it be better to find a spot in a more climate controlled area?

I don't think you need to worry about climate as you do with moisture.
The Press is already enclosed, so the heat the bed and hotend produce inside the chamber will fight ambient temps. My basement is in the same area as yours, and my enclosure has some openings.

Moisture will ruin your filament though.

I always preheat the bed for about 15 minutes before I start to print.
