Sounds like the x-axis endstop isn't working.  Check the wires and the plug into the board.

Re: X axis home is broken

Couple possible causes:

-Your X motor is plugged in wrong, making it move in reverse
-Your X motor is plugged in right, but reversed in the firmware.  Check it.
-Under printer controls, your X motor is being told to home in the wrong direction.
-Your X end stop is broken.

I would say you are crazy if you haven't changed anything and it just started doing this, but I too have experienced random printer  gremlins.  Let me know if any of the above is your issue.

hi mdr. thanks for the reply. for #1, it was working fine before, didnt remove any plugs so i doubt.
#2. not sure how to do it (any links for guides?)
#3 i checked printer control and its on x=150

Re: X axis home is broken

For #4, in manual controls use the textbox to send M119. This will display the endstop status in the console. If the X switch is depressed, it will read triggered. Otherwise it should say open.

yes i did the m119 and even if the extruder is at the middle, x axis is triggered. anyfix on this?

Re: X axis home is broken

Sounds like the switch is shot, or reversed.  Press it with your finger, send M119 again and see if anything has changed.  If not then it is likely dead.  If it is reversed, this can be changed in firmware so let us know and I'll show you.

A 3 pack is like $5 on ebay.  Also go under printer settings and make sure the homing direction is correct.  I think this is the same tab as the bed size that you found.

Re: X axis home is broken

The switch is probably just disconnected. Solidoodle uses normally-closed (NC) switches, so a disconnected switch will read triggered. Check all of the wiring carefully. It's unlikely the switch is broken.

Shortest "Full Circle Thread" Ever wink
If you have a continuity tester or DMM you could check for continuity at the plug (the one at the board).  Unplug it to check for continuity and when the switch is depressed you will NOT have continuity... When the switch isn't depressed (carriage out in the middle not touching the switch) you should have continuity.  I know this seems a little backward but that is how it works.
This will be the only way to verify if that endstop is working correctly.
