Topic: Best mods for solidoodle 4
I plan on getting a solidoodle 4 and i was wondering, what are some of the best mods i should do first? What are some mods that have most benefited you?

Here's some easy ones:
1) Replacing the top with clear plexiglass is very useful (http://www.soliforum.com/topic/8376/a-f … r-the-sd4/). Can monitor progress without lifting the lid.
2) Print a couple hubs to help the spools feed evenly(http://www.solidoodles.com/uploads/doodle?id=489).
3) Buy a carabiner and clip it to the filament as shown. This 5 second mod will prevent tangles by using gravity to take up slack (works better than the wire I posted earlier).

any fan mods for the sd4? and also is there a fix to getting better printed circles particularly smaller circles

I solved my circle problem by carefully adjusting the Y belts so they had the same tension and (most importantly) imparted no torque on the carriage (mine were out of alignment causing excessive drag).

Here's my latest mod - I put one of these on the MB enclosure so I can see the supply volts and amps at a glance.
