Topic: new PSU behaves weird

Hey,

I just bought a new PSU for the motor (I have it separated from the heater circuit) I worked before with a PSU of the same specification but when I turn it on now the unit itself starts clicking in 1sec intervals and the motor moves only in pulses.
Im pretty sure I didnt confuse the polarity although to my knowledge it shouldn't matter anyway.
The voltage also jumps up and down but without load it shows 12V straight .

Is there anything obvious I overlooked?

Re: new PSU behaves weird

That means you either have a short, or the new PSU doesn't really output what it says it does and is going into overload protection.

Since it wasn't clear in the OP: This is not a PSU that was provided by Filastruder, Sungod sourced one himself.
